EPMSA ProjectsDowntown East Point Character MapMany cities have a unique “Character Map” of their area. These maps are great for reference and great for building business and community pride. The Downtown East Point Character Map was commissioned by EPMSA in the Fall of 2010. The project was in conjunction with the Economic Development Department. You can own your own downtown map by purchasing one from EPMSA – they are only $15 each or Two for $25. These are great for framing and hanging in your place of business or in your home. Pick-A-PointThe "Pick A Point" project is a Main Street District beautification adoption program for select islands/entryways around the Downtown Area. So far, 5 areas have been selected for adoption:

Light PolesLight pole decorations help dress up the Downtown Area during the various seasons. Thank you to Alex Crowell and the Flower Cottage for always volunteering to assist EPMSA with this endeavor, Documentary About Downtown East PointYou may have seen EPMSA and people TV walking around Downtown East Point capturing footage in the Spring of 2009. EPMSA rceived a grant through Fulton County and People TV to produce the documentary. The documentary of one of five Fulton County community documentaries in the 2009 "Sidewalk Series" series. Beautification - Downtown PlantersThe flowers in the planters downtown offer businesses and patrons a hint of color and beauty downtown year round. Mums and and pansies are planted in the fall and winter months, while spring bulbs and plants like lianthus and petunias are planted in the spring and summer months. Businesses and patrons, please help us keep them litter free and looking their best! New colorful/decorative planters are coming soon from the Department of Economic Development! Wayfinder Kiosks (proposed)EMPSA is currently researching various wayfinding/information kiosk options to be placed in several locations Downtown. This will hopefully help visitors navigate their way around Downtown and give EPMSA a vehicle for fundraising through advertising sales on the kiosks. Downtown Art/Seating Project (coming soon) |
