Jae Crüe

Jae Crue

Out of all the hype in a heavily saturated Atlanta music scene, Jae Crue emerges from the crowd, bringing a positive and progressive advancement to the sound of R&B. Born and raised in Stone Mountain, Jae Crue formally known as Justin Edwards was born November 7, 1988 into a musically enriched family; His father influenced his musical talents at an early age by introducing Crue to the saxophone, which Jae picked up at the early age.

Music became passion for Crue; he joined his 1st “boy band” in elementary school, sang in church youth choirs, participated with many chorus and bands throughout grade school, all the while exploring many different avenues of turning his passion into a career.

Crue began ghost writing and demoing for many studios, producers, and artist alike for many years before he decided to pursue a personal project.

The beginning of 2012, Crue partnered up with Mic Villo, from The Industry Group; a St. Louis bred producer with an Atlanta Based Indie Label. The team set out to orchestrate what they knew would be the best sound for a unique singer/songwriter like Crue. Bringing influences of the past, ie: Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, and Boys to Men, and blending Jae’s POP/R&B sound. Villo, hit the nail on the head with their first record together, “In the Nude”… which became Crue’s first smash single!

Industry Groups Creative Director Brianna Madison then took Jae’s sound public, booking shows and broadcasting the new sound, gaining major local and international attention!

Crue is currently making many appearances and performing at many major events around Atlanta exploiting the true meaning of sound and performance, giving R&B a new and refreshing vibe, and paving a way for the future of R&B.
