The Fellowship Group Baptist Church

Rev. Montele A. Crawford, Church Pastor

The Fellowship Group Baptist Church is located in Downtown East Point, just one block from the East Point MARTA Train Station and City Hall.

The congregation chose Downtown East Point in 2007 because of its central location and young population, close to a MARTA Train Station.

In the Spring of 2010, Rever- end Crawford says he answered His call to become the first pastor of The Fellowship Group Baptist Church in Downtown East Point. Since his installation, members say they have been inspired by his deeply spiritual sermons and insightful Bible study lessons. Pastor Crawford has assigned monthly devotional suggestions, designed to help the church ―rebuild its walls‖, both spiritually and physically.

Reverend Montele A. Crawford is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated as an honor student from Perry Traditional Academy in 1993. While at Perry, he received the distinction of becoming an All-City Defensive Back during his tenure on the football team.

The church focuses on relevant preaching and teaching. They say they are proud to be family oriented, offering children’s activities, a senior’s group and a growing young adult group.

A little known fact about the building the church is located in itself is that it was constructed out of Stone Mountain granite and it was originally built in 1924 for the First Baptist Church congregation founded in 1889!

Community Offer: The church helps the community by offering a free clothes closet, food pantry and emergency assistance to those in need.
