East Point Tech:
Digital Lifestyle & Literacy Center
Dr. Lisa Richardson - Owner
East Point Tech opened its doors in Downtown East Point in 2014, just one block from the East Point MARTA Train Station. Dr. Lisa Richardson, the owner, chose the location for its’ small town feel, with big city amenities. The walkability of the Downtown District and the close proximity of the MARTA Train Station to the location also impacted the decision. Occupying the former Psycho Sisters location, East Point Tech’s décor merges eclectic and comfortable with an industrial loft feel. This relaxed atmosphere is conducive to learning concepts and skills that can sometimes be intimidating for new users.
East Point Tech primarily serves the greater South Metro Atlanta community. Web design and development is taught in its’ Coders Lab Program. The program is designed to serve veterans of recent wars, but is open to the public. The Saturday Code School (teen program) serves middle and high school students from the Tri-Cities/South Fulton County area
Monthly Small Biz Tech workshops offer technology enrichment and help Tri-Cities small businesses grow and compete on a global scale by helping them make appropriate technology choices. Catering to tech “newbies” and experienced developers alike, East Point Tech is a true community digital learning center.
East Point Tech offers “Techtogethers” (dinners for women with a techfocused discussion), South Atlanta WordPress Users Monthly Meet-up and an East Point Makers Monthly Meet-up (small biz tech workshops).
East Point Tech is excited to serve as a valuable resource for business process improvement. Their space also provides a great venue for smaller meetings and events. East Point Tech is a proud supporter of local community events.
