The MENZROOM
Ken Lewis, Owner
Located on West Cleveland Avenue, across from the East Point MARTA train station, the MENZROOM opened its doors in Downtown East Point in 2009.
The owner, Ken Lewis, chose East Point because of it’s proximity to Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and Downtown Atlanta, combined with the convenience of a MARTA train station next door.
“We offer a full service multicultural barbershop and salon that provides service to men, women and children. We provide a peaceful and family oriented atmosphere to help our customers feel at home. We also have a men’s clothing store that is located in the back of the barbershop. We sell casual and formal men’s apparel, as well as, accessories such as neckties, cuff links, sunglasses, watches and other jewelry. In addition, we offer shoe shining”, says Lewis.
“We pride ourselves on being able to offer services and products to a diverse population”, says Lewis.
“In addition, we participate in community events, like the “Taste of East Point” on West Cleveland Ave. each year. We also hold health fairs for men and we try to give back to the community by giving free haircuts to men who have been recently released from East Point's correctional facility”, says Lewis.
A little know fact about the MENZROOM location is that it was once the White’s Florist Shop during the 60’s & 70’s!
