Owners
Kupcakerie opened its doors in Downtown East Point in the Spring of 2016. The owners, husband and wife team Henry & Kascha Adeleye, chose the location because they saw great potential in the Downtown District and they loved the building, which is over 100 years old and rich in history. It was originally a pharmacy back in the day, but was converted to a commercial/ retail use and, at one point, was actually used as the detective’s office in the movie “The Devil’s Knot” starring Reese Witherspoon!
Henry is also a native of East Point which made the City an even “sweeter” choice for the couple. “We love the small town feel, the closeness and sense of community that East Point has”, says Kascha Adeleye. “Everyone is super-friendly and very supportive”.
They specialize in a large variety of gourmet cupcakes baked fresh daily. They are also proud to serve Octane coffee and espresso based drinks like lattes and iced coffees, in addition to offering teas and bags of whole bean coffee so customers can brew at home as well. Customers enjoy free Wi-Fi and a collaborative work room that has been used for everything from government meetings to band rehearsals. Additionally, they have a very nice, large back room that they rent out for special events/parties.
