Mocha Delites

Sun Kwon
Sun Kwon, Owner

Moca DelitesMocha Delites is located in the heart of Downtown East Point’s Historic Industrial District, in the Buggy Works building, behind the East Point MARTA Train Station. The cozy, inviting cafe is tucked just inside the lobby of the historic building.

The owner, Sun Kwon, opened the business in Downtown East Point in 2003 and she is now celebrating her 10th year there! Ms. Kwon chose East Point because she loved the charming Downtown area and the fact that it is perfectly situated between the airport and Downtown Atlanta. She also likes the sense of community and historic charm paired with the continual revitalization of East Point, which she feels is truly the best of both worlds.

Whether you need your daily dose of java, lunch or a quick snack or you need that “pick me up” in the middle of the afternoon, Mocha Delites has you covered!

Mocha Delites serves specialty coffees, including their signature drink -- Mocha Delite (their secret espresso and chocolate blend), fresh fruit smoothies, Mighty Leaf herbal teas and iced drinks. They also offer hot breakfast, salads, bagels, muffins, cookies and sandwiches, and although those food items are quite popular, the Thursday Special— shrimp, chicken, or veggie fried rice, is the main attraction (but you have to order early because they only serve a limited amount and they always sell out)!

Known by many as a popular local daytime hangout for business professionals, families and friends, Mocha Delites’ relaxed café atmosphere, nice outdoor patio and free Wi -Fi also attracts a diverse mix of people from neighboring areas — a real "melting po".

A little known fact about the building they are located in is that it was built in the 1800’s for manufacturing, and per its name, it was used to make buggies! In the 1980’s it was renovated and is now one of the most sought after office buildings in the Tri-cities area due to its location and charm.
